Rich Stipe –
Rich was hired in 1982 as our General Manager. He has helped our cooperative grow, expand, and prosper for over 25 years. He is responsible for all operations and reports directly to the Board of Directors.
Gary Plagge –
Gary was hired in 2008 as the Retail Division Manager, a new position created to further the growth and the expertise of our employee retail teams. Training to develop the best customer service possible with knowledgeable employees has been his focus.
Bruce Jones –
Bruce was hired in 2001 to become our Purchasing & Distribution Manager. This responsibility has helped us manage our growth and controlled our inventory. Our ‘Activant’ system has allowed us to tract our product supply and reduced costs.
Derek Gavette –
Derek was hired in 1985 as a field agronomist and was promoted to Agronomy Division Manager in 2003. Our fertilizer blending facility, our field agronomists, and our custom application services are the ‘backbone’ of our cooperative to the farming operations throughout Whatcom County.
Dave Henderson –
Dave became our Energy Division Manager in 1983. With the merger of Visser Oil Company in 2003, Dave has focused on our Propane business and Kevin Visser has focused on our petroleum business. Propane has been an extremely important portion of the success of our cooperative.
John Pogue –
John was hired in 2006 as our Controller. He has become a strong asset for Whatcom Farmers Co-op since we have experienced such rapid growth. John also supervises our administrative team of employees.
